Description

The nutritional significance of YS Organic Bee Farms Triple Bee Complex is from the differentiation of how the female bee larvae is totally dependent upon their early developmental stage. In the larvae stage, they are absolutely identical and feed on Royal Jelly for the first three days after hatching. The fertilized eggs give rise to females which are either sexually immature small workers bees or large, fertile queens.

From the fourth day on, only the special larvae selected to become the Queen continues to be fed with Royal Jelly throughout her entire life, while the worker bees are fed on regular hone and pollen. The fascinating discovery is that nutrition is the only distinctive difference between the worker bees and the Queen. The Queen Bee is made, not born. The Queen Bee is mother of a quarter of a million bees, and amazingly lays over 2,000 eggs in a single day. The life span of the Queen lasts four to five years, contrary to the considerably shorter lives of workers, an average of 3 months or less. Royal jelly is truly a miracle food!

Propolis is a resinous, substance gathered by the bees from the leaf buds or the bark of certain trees, and bushes. The bees then use the propolis as a “cement” that lines the walls of the hive in which they prepare honey, pollen, royal jelly and other related byproducts. Nature has provided bees with this substance to keep them and their hives free from germs in spite of 40,000 to 50,000 bees being crammed into close quarters in the hive.

About YS Organic Bee Farms

Y.S. Eco Bee Farms is built on a foundation of four generations of hands-on beekeeping experience. They are the pioneer in certified organic beekeeping in North America, having been granted organic certification in 1995 after intense research and development for many years. Since then their organic commitment continues to the organic food industry and they maintain organic certification. As a result they have been the most long-standing and reputable national distributor of certified organic honey.

What is the major difference in organic from conventional beekeeping?

Organic bee colonies are not maintained with the use of any chemicals!

We meet all the standards of Organic Certification including: GMO Free, Land Certification, Beehives Certification, Producer Certification, Processor Certification.

How can someone say it’s organic honey when bees can fly wherever they want?

The beehives are specifically placed in isolated areas away from any type of contamination (golf courses, agricultural areas, heavy traffic areas and landfills).

What makes your honey crystallize solid?

Where and what type of plants bees forage on will determine the nutrient level, crystallization, color, fragrance and taste. Y.S. beekeepers have the true knowledge of quality. The results produce a superior, energy packed (intense crystallization) honey with the highest possible levels of live enzymes, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and beneficial agents as a functional whole food. Only truly raw state honey that has never been processed will crystallize with intensity and has full beneficial properties nature intended.
